Friday Favorites #63.

Happy Friday, friends!  Today I am in full party planning mode.  The boys' (very belated) birthday party is tonight and I can honestly say I threw this thing together in a hot minute and TEXTED out the invites.  So we'll see how this thing turns out. ;)

I'll have more on the party next week but if you want to read about last year's party, you find it HERE.

But I'm also throwing in a few old pictures as well.  Our backyard birthday parties are tradition around here.  :)

Friday Favorites #62.

Happy Friday, friends!

Ok, I know it's not technically summer yet but it's coming next week!  (It's the 21st if you didn't know.  I googled it.)  This was our first full week of summer break and it went way too fast but was full of fun!  We're ready for more!

But today, I'm linking up with my friends Andrea, Erika, and Narci for Friday Favorites.

Let The Summer Begin.

Today's post is a random mess of what we've been up to lately.  We've hit the ground running this summer and while I'd love to have all this relaxation time and/or time to just do whatever I want, my life doesn't work that way.  #boo

Friday Favorites #61 {May Book Review}.

Happy Friday, y'all!  Today is our first Friday of the summer and we could not be happier!!  It will be a lazy, low-key day for my crew.  I'm assuming they'll spend it in and out of the pool, running around the neighborhood with their buddies and playing Wii Baseball all day.  Because that's how we roll.

Today though, I have a combo of Friday Favorites and my May Book Review.  This month was another good one!

School's Out For Summer...

I feel like we've been waiting for this day  #saidinmybestSandlotvoice

We Are (Almost) The Champions.

Hey hey, friends!!  Welcome back!!  We have 3 days left of school (including today) and I think we're all just about tapped out.  Was it really necessary for us to go until June 7th??  I'll never understand.

But this weekend was a great distraction from our never-ending school year.  Craig left for the Elite 11 Finals (a football camp) in L.A. on Thursday and my parents came in Friday afternoon.  My dad just retired and this was his first time ever to see the boys play ball in person.  His work schedule never allowed him the chance to come for a game before and I think all of us were so excited for them to be here.

Both boys were playing in their postseason tournaments on Saturday and Sunday so it was the perfect weekend to catch a lot of games.  Those boys were ready to show off for Nana and Papa.

Friday Favorites #60.

Happy Friday, friends!!

It is June 1st and I could not be happier to see the month of May GO.

This month was pretty awful for the Nall family.  We dealt with everything from stomach bugs and swimmers ear, to broken bones and the death of our dog.  It's been a long 4 weeks but we are looking forward to our first month of summer!

Next week, I'll be back to blogging on a more normal schedule.  I feel like over the past two weeks, my blog has had to take a backseat to a lot of things.  Today though, I had plans to do a fun post full of favorites but every time I sat down to type this up, I was interrupted.

Because Matthew has swimmers ear.  And swimmers ear is just THE WORST.  He has had swimmers ear all week and I swear, for him, swimmers ear is ten times worse than a broken bone.  His pain is so severe after his Motrin wears off (and before he can take another dose) but there is literally nothing I can do to help him.

I have to stop what I'm doing throughout the day (he's been home) to just rub his back or squeeze his hand while he clinches up with pain.  It's awful.  The outside of his ear is so tender you can't even breathe near it without him screaming and the inside of his ear apparently feels like someone is stabbing him repeatedly.

He wakes up in the middle of the night crying so it's almost like having a newborn again.  I am exhausted.  He is exhausted.  And we are so ready for these stupid antibiotic drops to kick in!

They say it takes 48-72 hours before they start to feel some relief which is WAY too long.  Especially when the only thing that helps in the meantime is Motrin, which you can only give every 6-8 hours but it only lasts for about 3...  #grrrrrrr

Anyway, my week has just gotten away from me but next week I'll be back with my May Book Review and back to regularly scheduled programming.

And as for my Friday Favorites, be sure to check the Facebook group because I'm just going to post all of my favorites there throughout the day.

(Join the group HERE!)

Today, I've got to finish up the 34 orders that are scheduled to ship today (pray for me) plus my parents are coming into town this afternoon because both boys have baseball tournaments this weekend and Craig is gone to one of his last camps of the season.

I am so ready for everything to just slow downMy shop is on vacation while I try to catch my breath with all of that but should be back in the next week or two.

Please come back next week.  I promise to be more fun.  Sometimes, something's just gotta give though and this week it's been my poor blog.

Have a great weekend!!

Happy Tuesday, friends!

Before I get started on our weekend, I want to say the biggest thank you for all your kind words, thoughts and prayers from Friday's post about our sweet Odie.  It has been so hard not seeing his face every morning or hearing the slow click-clack of his nails on the hardwood at night while I'm trying to sleep.  He became a bit of a night wanderer towards the end.

Life goes on and thankfully, this weekend was full of distractions.

Friday, the boys had Field Day and the day started with gorgeous sunshine.  Mason's time slot was from 8:30-11 and Matthew's was 12:00-2:30.  Around 11:45 I looked out the window and noticed some super dark clouds rolling in.  And I just knew this wouldn't end well for Matthew and all of his friends at Field Day.

My neighbor drove by our culdesac around 12:30 and took this picture of our house.  Yikes.

This week has been one of the hardest weeks for our family.

On Wednesday afternoon, we said goodbye to our sweet Odie.

The Baby is 10.

Hello Monday!!

We are less than 3 weeks away from summer and I know the kids are so excited!  I'm excited too.  Don't get me wrong.  But there's something to be said for a quiet and empty house 8 hours a day, five days a week when you're a work-at-home mom.

But I'll deal with that as it comes.  This weekend, however, was all about celebrating my Matthew.

Friday Favorites #59 | Etsy Finds

Oh, friends.  It has been a WEEK.  I would say "Yay, Friday!" but sometimes Fridays are just another day in a long line of busy days.

This week we've dealt with two days of STAAR testing, one kid with an annoying cough and cold (allergies?), one kid that was sent home with a major stomach ache that lasted a solid 5 hours (he sounded like he was in labor for 4 of them), a late game that didn't get us home until after 10, a "modified lockdown" at the kids' school due to a suspicious person (all ok), and one old pup that may lose her eye.  (Sigh.)

Plus, more open orders in my Etsy shop than I've ever had.  (Over 160 at this point.)

Tonight we have baseball.  Tomorrow is Matthew's birthday and more baseball.  And I'm dreading the response I'm going to get when he finds out that he is not, in fact, getting a trampoline.  #meanmommy

The Rewind Series: {Bellies & Babies}

Hey there, friends!  Today I've got another installment in my Rewind Series!

You can find my first post HERE where I rewound things and showed y'all our trip to the Bahamas in 2009 for our 4th anniversary.

But today, we're talking pregnancy, which is one of my all-time favorite topics of conversation.

I love a pregnant belly.  And I love (almost) everything about being pregnant.

Yes, I was one of those.

But first. a little backstory:  Craig and I were married on March 19th, 2005. He was with the Packers at the time and we decided on waiting 3 years before trying for a baby.  We wanted that time to enjoy ourselves and our incredibly blessed situation while we were young and just live it up!

But after 2.5 years, a move to Buffalo, a new contract, and a big new house, I was ready.  And thankfully, I didn't have to do too much persuading to get Craig on board.

Hello Friday!!

And Happy Mother's Day weekend to all you precious mamas!

Being a mom is HARD, y'all.  But I think we can all agree that it is totally worth it.  The sleepless nights, the stressful days, the worry, the fear, the joy, the LOVE.  It all comes with being a mom and I wouldn't trade this job for all the money in the world.

Our Weekend & Target Finds.

Hey friends!  Today I've got a photo dump for you and a little life lately!

Our pool is officially open!  The neighborhood boys all head to our house after school every day for water gun fights, nerf wars and lots of "Can you text my mom to see if I can swim?".  Ha!

We could not have asked for more when it comes to the perfect neighborhood for our family.  It is busting at the seams with boys!

Happy FRIDAY!!

I would totally hug Friday if I could.  Actually, I'd hug Friday night because I still have to work all day today.  Sigh.

Oh, happy day!!

It's time for my April Book Review!

Monday, April 30, 2018

Happy Monday, friends!

I hope you all had a great weekend!  We have had sunshine and warm temps here in Mckinney over the past few days and that is perfect BASEBALL weather!

Which is a good thing since all we did this weekend was play ball.

Friday Favorites #56.

Happy Friday!!

I've got a very short list of Favorites today, y'all.  Why, you ask?

That is why.

I should have been a good little blogger and planned ahead this week but I didn't.  Matthew had a game last night that ran long and we didn't get home until almost 10.  And I tend to blog at night.  So by the time we got everyone settled and in bed, I could barely put a thought together so this is what you get today.

So here's my quick list of favorites this week:

Tarte Concealer

I haven't loved a concealer this much in FOREVER.  I love that the brush part (which I should have shown you) is nice and big instead of skinny, it covers so well and it smooths on easily.  I bought it in "Light" if that helps anyone.

I wear it over my Becca Under-Eye Brightener  (which is a MUST HAVE product if you don't already have some!) and it's like magic to my dark circles.  ;)

(By the way, I'm still on my first little jar of the Becca Brightener and I've used it almost every day for a year.  I've still got plenty left too.  I bet it'll last another year.)

Wayfair had a huge spring sale (on top of their already great prices) this week and I took the opportunity to grab this cute storage bench for the foot of our bed.  It's still listed for a great price!  And the reviews are awesome too.

It should arrive next week!  And I've also got a new dresser ordered but it will take a little longer to get here.  We (I) made some changes to our room awhile back and it's taken me some time to pick and choose the right pieces I've wanted in there.  That, plus Matthew's room, are my current on-going projects at the moments.

We got a little off-track when we started in on some of our outside updates.  We recently had a new roof put on, our house repainted (outside), new gates on both sides of the house and the rest of the fence repaired and restained.  And in a few weeks, we are resurfacing the back porch and pool area.

Once all of those things are behind us, we'll get Matthew's room painted (finally).  Right now, there are about 15 grey paint swatches all over his walls.  ;)

This picture I snapped of Matthew at his game last night is my last favorite for today.  He has really started to show real skill and passion for baseball this year and we couldn't be more thrilled.

This picture is also how I see other cars' headlights when I drive at night, by the way.   Ugh.

And if you missed my big What's Up Wednesday post (also full of favorites!), find it HERE.

It's going to be a long weekend!

And if you're a new reader, you can find me on Instagram (@amandanall) and in my Facebook Group!

And my Etsy shop is HERE.

Linking up with Erika, Andrea and Narci for Friday Favorites.

Happy Weekend, friends!

Happy Wednesday, friends!

It's the monthly What's Up Wednesday post where I link up with Mel, Sheaffer, and Shay and discuss what all we've been up to lately!

We've been busy this month with baseball in full swing, Craig off to football camps every weekend, a little getaway, and Teacher Appreciation/Graduation/Mother's Day season hitting my Etsy shop!

But today we're going to answer these specific questions:

Let's get started!

Birthday Boys | 39 & 8.

April 21st always seems to hold good things for my family.  It is a special day for a lot of reasons.

Craig was born on April 21st.
Craig was drafted to the Packers on April 21st.
Our sweet Mason was born on April 21st.

My water broke at 38.5 weeks, a little after 9pm, on April 20th.  After a quick and easy 7.5 hour labor, Mason Presley was born at 4:41am on Dad's 31st birthday.  (Yes, I had an epidural.  Both times.  I'm a giant wimp.  Both easy labor and deliveries. No complications.  No drama.  #thankyouepidural #iloveyousomuch)

Friday Favorites #55. {Phoenix Recap}

Happy Friday, y'all!!

This has been a crazy week for us.  We got back from Phoenix on Tuesday afternoon, Craig's parents left on Wednesday morning and I tried to start back in on that fun game of catch up we all play after days away from home.  Laundry, baseball games, homework, field trips, groceries, work...

Fun times.

Today, I'm sharing all about our fun trip for my Friday Favorites with Erika, Narci, and Andrea!  Because it was definitely a favorite!  And this mama needed a break!

What's Your Street Name?

I know I said I'd have our Phoenix recap up today but between all the things that go into that first day back from a vacation plus two baseball games last night, it just did not get finished.  I figured I would make it into one big "favorite" for Friday Favorites so that'll be up tomorrow.

I did want to share this though because it had me DYING!!

Mason came home with a paper in his backpack this week and apparently they were working on capitalizing the first the letter of proper nouns.  The sheet asked them to fill in a bunch of proper nouns that were personal to them like their name, school, state, etc.

Well one of them asked for his street name.

And when you ask a crazy cool kid his street name, he's going to give you his "street name", y'all!!

Nickname/Street Name:  Same thing.

I sent this to my parents and it took them a minute to get it.  I had to point out that it was supposed to be the name of our street!

Oh, my silly boy.  He is one funny 7-year-old.  I'm pretty sure he still doesn't realize this wasn't exactly what his teacher meant by "street name".  ;)

I know I shared this already on my Instagram and in my Facebook Group but I just had to put it here too.  I never want to forget it!

Back tomorrow with the recap for Friday Favorites!

Wednesday, April 18, 2018

Hey hey y'all!  I'm back from Phoenix and we had an amazing time!  I didn't realize how much I (we) needed that little getaway until we were gathered around a fire pit at this gorgeous resort, with our old and new friends, laughing until our cheeks ached.

This basically summed it up:

Friday Favorites #54.

YES!  This morning, Craig and I are getting on a plane and heading to Phoenix for a getaway!  Up until last night, I thought this was part of a football camp Craig was coaching.  Clearly, the only part of this whole thing that I heard was "Waldorf Astoria" and "all the wives are coming".

Welcome back, y'all!

I have been M.I.A. here on the blog for the past couple of days because my little vacation starts Friday and I am trying to get myself organized.  My in-laws are coming in from Louisiana to stay with the boys while we're away and I'm trying to think of everything I can in order to make things as easy on them as possible.

I'm back today for another Friday Favorites and as always, I'm linking up with my sweet Mckinney mama friends, Erika, Narci and Andrea.

Easter 2018.

Welcome back, friends!  I hope you all had a great Easter weekend!!

Here's a little of what our weekend looked like.

On Friday, the kids were out of school because of a bad weather day we didn't use so we got our weekend off to an early start.

Craig only had to go into the office in the morning so I used that time to finish up the week's orders and when he got home, I headed to Target for Easter basket shopping (and then some) while he took the boys to the golf course.

Happy Good Friday, sweet friends!!

I've got Friday Favorites for you so here's #1.

What's Up Wednesday. {March 2018}

Hey hey friends!  It's What's Up Wednesday with MelSheaffer and Shay!

Every month we answer a few questions about what's been going on lately.  We've been crazy busy this month so I'm just going to dive right in.

Tuesday, March 27, 2018

Hey, friends!  I had all the plans to have a post for you today...and then I went to a 6:30 dinner with my girlfriends at our favorite Mexican place last night and didn't get home until after 10:30.

And since I blog at night, this is all I had time for.  Because I. Was. Tired.

The past couple of weeks have been kind of insane in the Etsy department and then couple that with 7 baseball games in 3 days this weekend all while Craig was out of town and yeah, I totally deserved a little moms night out.

I'll be back tomorrow for the big What's Up Wednesday post though which covers just about everything we've been up to lately.  It's a lot.  Our mini vacay can't come soon enough.

If you missed last month's What's Up Wednesday, you can find it HERE.

Also, the book I talked about in my Friday Favorites comes out today!  It sounds super intriguing...I can't wait to get started!!  Find it here

See you tomorrow, friends!

Friday, March 23, 2018

Happy Friday, friends!!  Today I've got  a quick set of Favorites for you because this week has kicked my booty and all I want to do is turn my brain off.  But I had a few things that I wanted to show you so here we go.

Happy 13.

On Monday, this big guy and I celebrated 13 years of marriage.  We decided to celebrate by going to lunch at a brand new restaurant in our neighborhood called Eleven 17 so we could skip those babysitter fees while the kids were in school.  ;)

(Flowery top HERE, wedges HERE, jeans HERE.)

Craig and I met in college when he transferred to Northwestern State from LSU after a "political log-jam" when it came to starting Quarterbacks. I was living my best life at NSU.  NSU was smallish and located in the super quaint Natchitoches, LA where Steel Magnolias was filmed.  I felt comfortable and confident there and it was an amazing time in my life.  #canIgobackanddoitagain?!

Monday, March 19, 2018

Welcome back, friends!  Happy Monday!

Last week was Spring Break for us and we played it super low-key.  We don't really travel over Spring Break for several reasons and honestly, I'm totally fine with that.  Even though I still had to work Monday through Friday, I made time to hang with the boys when they weren't scattered all over the neighborhood with their friends.  Craig was at the office every day and then had another football camp (Orlando this weekend) and just got home late last night.  We still managed to get in some family fun though.

Here's a recap of what we got up to last week.

One of the first pictures I took at the beginning of the week was this one.  The boys and their friends pulled random stuff out of the garage to make this "fort".  Forts are all the rage right now at my house.

Friday, March 16, 2018

Well, that went by fast.  Spring Break is coming to an end and while we are super sad about that, it just means that we're this much closer to summer!!  And we pretty much live for summer around here.  And Christmas.  And tacos.  We definitely live for tacos.

As always, I'm linking up with Narci, Andrea and Erika for Friday Favorites so here's what made the cut this week.

Thursday, March 15, 2018

Lately, I've been thinking about all the fun things I've done over the years, and how it's kind of sad that I didn't have this blog then so I could share it all.  I've said it before, and I'll say it again:  We used to be a lot cooler than we are now.

Right now, we are just not in a phase in our lives where we're able to take a lot of big trips and I have to say I miss that.  It used to be so much easier to just pick up and go, but now, with Craig's new job, the football camps, my Etsy shop, the boys' baseball schedules, school,'s just hard to get away.  We do have our fun little getaway coming up in April, we'll go to the beach as always at the end of summer and we're planning our first trip to Disney World for Thanksgiving!  So we aren't totally deprived, but still.

Earlier this week,  I found myself taking a stroll down memory lane on Facebook.  I was going through all of my old Facebook albums of fun trips we'd taken and old birthday parties and got all nostalgic.  #idothatalot

All of those old pictures inspired this new series.

Wednesday, March 14, 2018

Today, Shay and Erika had their "How We...Wednesdays" link up and it was all about Mom Fails.  (Is mom fails one word or two?  I feel like it should be two since it makes a great hashtag.  #momfails)

Since I blogged about my mom fails in my Confessions series awhile back, I linked up that old post and decided to go ahead and share it here again today.

So go HERE to check out all my failures as a mom and make yourself feel better about your own mothering skills.  ;)

And if you feel so inclined, I'd love for you to tell me some of your own #momfails in the comments so I won't feel so alone.  Haha.

Mommin' ain't easy, y'all.
